How spaghetti models work

Spaghetti plots show multiple model tracks or ensemble members. They visualize uncertainty and disagreement; no single line should be treated as the official hurricane forecast.

What matters more than one line

Look at clustering, spread, changes between model runs, and the official NHC forecast. Storm Incoming will label model layers separately from the official forecast track and cone.

Our model-data rule

Only models with a verified redistribution/use path will be displayed. NOAA/NCEP sources are the first implementation target; other model providers require separate licensing review.
